Double the potential of your gas-fired Alfa oven with a simple but cleverly designed piece of kit that allows you to convert it to a wood-burning oven with minimal effort, meaning you can choose your fuel to suit your mood and your food.
Made in Italy from high-quality, fire-resistant stainless steel, the kit consists of two components: a burner lid and a wood holder. The burner lid covers and protects your oven’s gas burner, while the wood holder does exactly what the name suggests! It can be installed in a matter of minutes and easily packed away when not in use.
Available for all Alfa gas-fired ovens apart from the Portable and 1 Pizza sizes.

What is the Moderno 1 made from?
The cooking chamber is entirely made of reinforced stainless steel.
The double layer of ceramic fibre insulation used in commercial ovens contains heat and prevents the external frame from overheating.
What do I need to get started?
To bake with the oven, you just need small logs no more than 5 cm (2 in) thick. With 2 kg (4,4 lbs) of firewood you can really cook throughout the evening!
Always use the wood basket so as not to overload the oven with logs and to better manage the food on the floor.
Should I use wood or gas?
Wood has always been the fuel of choice for those who love tradition and strong flavours. It’s the perfect oven if you really like cooking outside and you are not afraid of putting your nose to the grindstone.
Fast and practical, gas ovens are for people who don’t want to waste time and cut to the chase. The best choice to make consistently good pizzas in a hassle-free way.
